This illustrated GIF was created to celebrate my milestone of joining NAIT as an instructor in the Game Development – Animation and Game Design Program. The concept captures energy, creativity, and the excitement of learning in animation and game design. I began with concept sketches, designed the interface in Illustrator, and used Photoshop for photo editing and compositing, while integrating AI tools like NanoBanana to pose my pre-polished character alongside NAIT’s mascot, Ook. The 2D VFX animation was executed in After Effects, ensuring smooth motion and an engaging visual flow. This piece communicates excitement and inspiration for the next chapter of my professional journey while showcasing my ability to blend traditional animation techniques with AI-assisted workflows to create dynamic digital storytelling.
